It is estimated that the prices of most green vegetables will experience a significant hike, ranging from approximately 50% to 75%, affecting the majority of items in this category. Such price hikes force many families to buy fewer vegetables, leading to health problems, especially for children and the elderly. It also adds to the financial stress of households already dealing with high costs of living. The impact on health and finances is creating significant distress in our communities.

To fix this, the government should support farmers with subsidies and modern farming techniques to increase crop yield. Stabilizing fuel prices and improving transportation efficiency can help reduce costs. Encouraging farmers’ markets where farmers sell directly to consumers can also lower prices.
