Subject: My Deep Concern for Global Warming: Our Planet’s Urgent Call

Sir/Ma’am

Through your esteemed daily, I wish to draw urgent attention to the alarming rise in global temperatures. It is a clarion call for immediate action. The time has come for us to take responsibility for our environment, as the effects of climate change are becoming more evident every day. The years 2022 and 2023 have witnessed extreme weather conditions globally, with unprecedented heatwaves, devastating floods, and severe storms. These events underscore the urgency of addressing climate change before it spirals beyond control.

In India, our Constitution enshrines the duty of every citizen to protect and improve the natural environment, including forests, lakes, rivers, and wildlife, under Article 51A(g). This directive is not merely a suggestion but a fundamental duty. Furthermore, the Directive Principles of State Policy, particularly Articles 48A and 51A, mandate the State to protect and improve the environment and safeguard forests and wildlife.

We must heed these principles and take proactive measures. Simple steps like reducing waste, conserving water, and planting trees can significantly impact. Moreover, our government needs to enforce stringent environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices across industries.

The fight against global warming is a collective responsibility. Let us all contribute to preserving our planet for future generations. It’s time to act, and the time is now.

Yours sincerely,

ABC
